1st September 1939 - Nazi Germany invades Poland, two days later Britain and France declare war on Hitler, World War Two has begun. The Polish resistance to the occupation of their country began immediately, in 1942 the Polish underground became Poland's 'Home Army', the Armia Krajowa, with numbers involved estimated at 400,000, the biggest resistance across Europe leading to the 1944 Warsaw Uprising. Our design celebrates the original insignia of the Home Army as a symbol of resistance to fascism.
