The British Parachute Regiment was joined at Arnhem by the 1st Polish Independent Parachute Brigade, made up of escapees from Nazioccupied Europe. Trained in Scotland as paratroopers, Arnhem was the first time they saw battle.
Our design is based on the Brigade's regimental colours made by Polish women in Warsaw and secretly smuggled out to reach the regiment in England.
